Aluma-Form adds to Walnut’s job pool
Aluma-Form (AF) recently celebrated the grand opening of its manufacturing and distribution center in Walnut.
The manufacturing company is in the process of hiring 125 workers for its new facility at Tippah County’s Walnut Industrial Park.
Founded in 1961, AF specializes in innovative, custom-engineered overhead utility and communications solutions. It manufactures fiberglass, aluminum, and apitong wood products for the electric utility and communications industries.
Company officials say the location was a good fit because it has another site about 50 miles east of Walnut in Memphis. Additionally, AF reports it needed the second site because manufacturing orders have doubled since 2008, and the Memphis location wasn’t large enough to compensate for the growth.
