Mercedes-Benz hits the pedal on Long Beach location

Mercedes-Benz USA recently broke ground on a new Long Beach facility that will employ about 200 people when it opens in nine months.

The company’s West Coast regional facility will serve as the future home of MBUSA’s vehicle preparation center, Western region sales office and learning and performance offices.

Southern California is the car culture capital of the world and it remains one of the largest markets for the Mercedes-Benz brand,” said Dietmar Exler, vice president of sales for MBUSA.

Hollywood, great weather, a passion for the automobile and continued growth of the luxury market have all contributed to this singular position.”

The facility will comprise two buildings, totaling 1.09 million square feet on a 52-acre lot across the street from the Long Beach Airport.
