Kroger recruiting 767 new hires this year

Kroger is recruiting 767 full- and part-time employees in the Delta region. The move is part of a larger effort to fill 20,000 positions this year.

The vacant positions include some in management. A Kroger spokesman said any management hires would be trained in Memphis. 

Kroger’s Delta Division includes West Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and small parts of Missouri and Kentucky.

Kroger is renovating many of its stores across the Mid-South. The company recently finished a $4 million upgrade to its store in the Crosstown neighborhood of Memphis.

Cincinnati, Ohio-based Kroger has created more than 40,000 new permanent jobs in the past six years, according to a recent news release. The company currently employs 375,000 in 34 states.
