Wholesale Produce Market to support 1,000 jobs

SAN FRANCISCO – The first phase of Wholesale Produce Market’s expansion is now completed in San Francisco. The market provides fresh produce to local and regional grocers, specialty and upscale retailers, restaurants, hotels, caterers and convention facilities. A total of 650 employees currently work at the market.

Good Eggs is the latest company to lease space in Wholesale Produce Market, signing for 56,000 square feet that will house its local distribution operations. Good Eggs markets itself as a mix between a farmers market and an online grocer. Through using Good Eggs, customers can order produce from over 100 local farmers. The company then delivers each customers’ order directly to their door.

Wholesale Produce Market plans to reach full build out in 2033, when it anticipates occupying around 500,000 square feet and employing roughly 1,000 people.
