Bass Pro to hire 600 from Memphis job fair

MEMPHIS — Bass Pro Shops will host a job fair at the Memphis Cook Convention Center Feb 2. through Feb. 4. The company needs to hire up to 600 full-time and part-time employees for its new location at the Pyramid, set to open in May.

Bass Pro Shops will be looking for employees in the camping, archery, hunting, fishing, apparel/gifts, footwear, marine accessories, customer service and receiving departments. The company will also hire greeters, cashiers, marine technicians, stockers, boat detailers, boat riggers and boat sales consultants. Bass Pro is also seeking hosts/hostesses, servers, bartenders, bussers, line cooks, prep and dishwashers for the two full-service restaurants and bars planned for the Pyramid location. Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill will also hire bowling technicians.

The mega store will include a hotel, the Big Cypress Lodge, which will fill positions for concierge, houseman, front desk, night audit, bell service, massage therapist, esthetician and valet attendants.

The job fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day in the south exhibit hall.
