Kroger plans 649 jobs in Ohio

CINCINNATI — Kroger plans to add 649 full-time positions in Ohio with the assistance of tax credits from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority.

The company was approved for a 65 percent, 10-year job creation tax credit. It is expected to generate $25.4 million in additional payroll and retain $1.2 million in payroll for the grocer.

It plans to invest $46 million in project in Blue Ash, a city in which it is the largest employer. It plans to make upgrades to a distribution facility and add the Customer Service Center of Excellence.

The new positions will be in digital innovation, human resources recruiting, pharmacy, logistics and distribution.
