Farmers Fresh Market brings jobs, healthy food to Ignacio

IGNACIO, Colo. – The Southern Ute Indian Tribe Reservation now has a new option for healthy foods. Farmers Fresh Market just opened its doors in Ignacio, selling fresh produce, prepared foods and other grocery items on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation in southwestern Colorado.

In addition to providing more food options for local residents, Farmers Fresh Market is bolstering the local economy. Farmers Fresh Market is hiring 50 employees. Working at the grocery store is a great option for local retail workers, many of whom previously had to commute outside of the reservation for work.

Farmers Fresh Market plans to continue expanding in Ignacio by adding a burrito bar and pharmacy.
