Aldi opens new store in Houston, creates 150 jobs

HOUSTON, Texas — Aldi announced it will open its 22nd Houston-area store at 2373 Bypass 35 S., creating more than 150 jobs.

The grand opening is Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The company has announced it will open eight more stores within the next few years.

In addition to the new store, Aldi selected Rosenberg for its new $60 million, 650,000-square-foot distribution center and divisional headquarters. It is expected to open in early 2016.
