Walmart has hired 13,700 Texas veterans for Welcome Home Commitment campaign, more planned

TEXAS — Since launching its Welcome Home Commitment in May 2013, retailing behemoth Walmart has hired more than 107,000 veterans nationwide, including 13,700 in the state of Texas, and that number is only expected to grow.

Due to the overwhelming success of the program, the company plans to hire an additional 250,000 by the end of the 2020. If hired at the same rate, this would equate into approximately approximately 32,000 jobs in the state of Texas.

Since the launch of the program, Walmart has hired Texas veterans in 574 locations, including Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets, distribution centers and Sam’s Club locations. Find employment opportunities with Walmart here.
